Craig Zobel (“Compliance”, “The Hunt”) returns for his 3rd visit to the podcast. He’s directed the full 7 episode HBO Original Series “Mare of Easttown” of which 3 episodes have already posted/aired. As her life crumbles around her, a small-town Pennsylvania detective Mare Sheehan (Kate Winslet) investigates a local murder. The series explores the dark side of a close community and provides an authentic examination of how family and past tragedies can define our present.

This segment celebrates a new dramatic indie film called “Beast Beast” which is currently available on various arthouse websites as well as on demand. I’m joined by the director, Danny Madden, as well as the film’s three young cast members: Shirley Chen, Will Madden and Jose Angeles. “Beast Beast” is a 2020 American coming-of-age drama based on a 2018 short film titled “Krista”, also directed by Danny Madden, and centers stars around three young adults whose lives intersect in a suburban town.
