The filmmaker & actor Michael Angelo Covino & actor Kyle Marvin discuss their new film, the comedy “The Climb” which premiered at Cannes and which will be in select theaters beginning Friday, November 13th. Kyle and Mike are best friends who share a close bond — until Mike sleeps with Kyle’s fiancée. “The Climb” is about a tumultuous but enduring relationship between two men across many years of laughter, heartbreak and rage. It is also the story of real-life best friends who turn their profound connection into a rich, humane and frequently uproarious film about the boundaries (or lack thereof) in all close friendships. The film also stars Filmwax Radio friend Talia Balsam and George Wendt.
This segments celebrates the 31st New Orleans Film Festival which begins today and runs through November 25th. Joining me on this segment is the festival’s lead features programmer, Greta Hagen-Richardson.
