The documentary filmmaker Nanette Burstein (“The Kid Stays in the Picture”) makes her first appearance on FIlmwax. Her latest doc, “Elizabeth Taylor: The Lost Tapes” had its world premiere recently at the Cannes Film Festival, just screened at the Tribeca Film Festival and now moves on to the Nantucket Film Festival next week for two screenings. The film is drawn from 70 hours of newly discovered interviews with Elizabeth Taylor and unprecedented access to the legendary star’s personal archive.

Also, Lon Ballinger, who along with his brothers ran Webster Hall for close to 30 years. Now he owns a hotel/restaurant/bar called The Stewart House in Athens, NY. And he has written a combination memoir/business how to called “Party Boys: How the Ballinger Brothers Build the Best Nightclubs in the World”. Available where books are sold.
