[9 mins. 28 secs.] The filmmaker Craig Zobel (“Compliance”, “Z for Zachariah”) returns to the podcast. He was last on Episode 53 with actor Ann Dowd back in 2012. He’s back with his third feature “The Hunt“, a thriller/acton/comedy starring Betty Gilpin, Hilary Swank, Ike Barinholtz and Filmwax Radio friend Macon Blair amongst its cast. The movie has been the subject of some controversy when it was first pulled from festivals and then theatrically delayed last year. Also notably, the president tweeted about the film, criticizing it even though he, nor anyone he knew, had seen it. Craig discusses all this and more on this special episode of the podcast. Synopsis: Twelve strangers wake up in a clearing. They don’t know where they are or how they got there. In the shadow of a dark internet conspiracy theory, ruthless elitists gather at a remote location to hunt humans for sport.
