Filmmaking brothers Michael Matthews & Thomas Matthews make their first appearance on the show. Their latest feature film, “Lost Holiday”, is available on various streaming platforms including Amazon, Google Play & YouTube. Margaret (Filmwax friend Kate Lyn Sheil) and Henry (Thomas Matthews) are back home in Washington DC for the holidays. At a Christmas party of old high school friends, Margaret discovers that her ex-boyfriend is now engaged. With her holiday mood ruined, Margaret and Henry ditch the party to go score some drugs. What starts as a night of debauchery evolves into a self-indulgent quest when the two friends become convinced that they are the only ones who can solve the kidnapping of a neighborhood socialite. Aside from Kate Lyn (Ep 249), the film’s cast also includes such past podcast guests as Tone Tank (Ep 149), Jay Bulger (Ep 82), Isiah Whitlock, Jr. (Ep 476) and Joshua Leonard (Ep 470).
Cinematographer Cody Stokes makes his directorial debut with the film “The Ghost Who Walks”, which is available on streaming platforms including Apple TV and Amazon. After five years in prison, guards lead Nolan (Garland Scott) to his freedom. But Nolan’s ticket out came courtesy of ratting on his former boss. A death sentence for any man. His goal: find Lena and Amy—his ex and their five-year-old daughter he’s never met—and get them out of the city, to a new life together, before the ghosts of his past can track him down and kill him. Cody’s film also stars Filmwax friends Frank Moseley (Eps 417 & 504) and Alexia Rasmussen (Ep 266).
