After that I speak with Aldis Hodge, one of the actors in the film. Years of carrying out death row executions have taken a toll on prison warden, Bernadine Williams (Alfre Woodard). The emotional wedge in her marriage grows. Memories of a recently botched execution plague her daily. As she prepares to execute another inmate, Bernadine must confront the psychological and emotional demons her job creates, ultimately connecting her to the man (Hodge) she is sanctioned to kill. The film, which is being distributed by Neon opens tomorrow, Friday, December 27th in New York City at the Angelika Film Center, BAM Rose Cinema and AMC Loews Kips Bay 15. Also it is screening in Los Angeles at The Landmark and AMC Burbank 16. The film opens wide over the coming weeks.
