Actress Daphne Rubin-Vega (“Rent”, “Jack Goes Boating”) and actor/filmmaker Jayce Bartok (“A Song Still Inside”), are the guests on this episode of the podcast. Jayce’s directorial debut feature film, Fall to Rise, the story of two women and an unlikely friendship. After Lauren (Katherine Crockett), a principal dancer and new mother, is injured she is let go from the modern dance company where she has flourished over the years. Shortly thereafter she meets up with the emotionally volatile Sheila (Rubin-Vega), also a former dancer in the company, to help her recover. The film had its New York premiere this past Spring at First Time Fest, and will be having a screening on Saturday, July 19th, 7PM at the Stonybrook Film Festival. Tickets are currently available.
