In the first segment of this podcast, I’m joined by the team behind the new film “We Are What We Are”, an American Gothic horror story. Filmmaker Jim Mickle (Stake Land), co-writer Nick Damici (“Mulberry Street”), and actor Bill Sage (“Simple Men”) are the guests. The film opens today at the Sunshine Landmark Theater in NYC and at the Nuart in Los Angeles. The film will go wide thereafter. Among Bill’s fellow cast members are Julia Garner, Larry Fessenden, and Kelly McGillis.
The second segment focuses on a new indie comedy currently making the festival rounds. The film is called “Doomsdays” and co-stars Justin Rice (“Harmony and Me”) and Leo Fitzpatrick (“Kids”). Leo is on this segment and joined another actor from the film, Brian Charles Johnson who is in the upcoming Scorsese film, “The Wolf of Wall Street”. The director Eddie Mullins also joins in the fun. “Doomsdays” will be playing in the following festivals:
