The music documentary, “Revenge of the Mekons“, is currently screening at the Film Forum in New York City. It will be playing there through Tuesday, November 4th. Thanks to the distributor Music Box Films, this standout film will receive wider distribution in the coming weeks. In the meantime, meet director Joe Angio and one of the founders of the band, Jon Langford. They are the guests in the first segment of the podcast. In the conversation we discuss the band, how Joe decided to create the documentary on the subject, and there’s even a couple of tunes played by Jon to top things off.

Next up is film programmer Tom Hall. This conversation took place at the Toronto International Film Festival this past September. Tom recently made the move from programming the Sarasota Film Festival to programming the Montclair Film Festival. Submissions are open as of Monday, November 3rd.

Last up is British filmmaker Joanna Hogg whose three most recent dramatic films —”Exhibition”, “Unrelated” and “Archipelago”— are now available on DVD thanks to the distributor Kino Lorber.
