Ep 165: Kent Turner • Seán Ó Cualáín • DETONATOR

Film reviewer Kent Turner recounts his recent trip to the Toronto International Film Festival where he saw some 36 films. Kent’s writing may be found on his website, Film-Forward.

Next up is the Irish filmmaker, Seán Ó Cualáín, whose new documentary, “Men at Lunch”, tracks the history and subjects of the iconic 1932 photograph of workmen taking their lunch perched on a girder high above New York City on the 69th floor of Rockefeller Center.

Lastly is the team behind the new indie film, “Detonator“, filmmakers Damon Maulucci and Keir Politz, and the actor Ben Fine. The film will be screening later this week at Hell’s Half Mile Film & Music Festival in Bay City, Michigan. The interview took place at the Brooklyn Film Festival where the film had its premiere.
